The Bays of Huatulco are located on the coast of Oaxaca. Set in the last foothills of the Sierra Madre del Sur, they cover 35 kilometers of the Pacific Coast of Mexico. The tropical vegetation of Huatulco is luxuriant and varied in this land of bio-diversity with its abundant wildlife that includes small mammals a variety of reptiles some of which are considered gourmet delicacies in the region, and numerous birds. Huatulco is also rich in marine life which includes oysters, lobster, clams, shrimp and a never ending list of fish, all of which can be found deliciously prepared by the local chefs. Because of their geographic location, the Bays of Huatulco are a series of 9 small bays separated by hills, cliffs, valleys and rivers that give the area a special majesty.
